DRESS CODE & CULTURE

Dance & All That Jazz is committed to providing high-quality dance classes to enhance the overall development of the dancer. We provide a fun, positive, and encouraging environment while the student explores the different styles of dance. The students will learn confidence, coordination, discipline, as well as, exploring their own creative movement. All instructors have been chosen because of their passion for dance and teaching. Dance & All That Jazz Instructors hold themselves to high standards, striving to continue their dance education through schooling, learning opportunities, and dance experiences in the community.

Dance & All That Jazz| Dress Code

a. Hip Hop Basics; Jazz Hip Hop; Disney Pre-Tap, Tap
Clothing: Solid black leotard, tight fitting shorts or leggings

Boys-solid black tshirt or tank with shorts/joggers
Shoes:

-Hip Hop Basics- Clean pair of gym shoes worn only inside; must change shoes inside the studio. 

-Jazz Hip Hop- Solid black jazz shoes-no laces

-Tap- Solid black tap shoes-no laces (studio brand)
Hair: Pulled back, bangs away from face

a. Combo

Clothing: Solid black leotard, tights (studio brand), solid black tight fitting shorts if desired

Boys-solid black tshirt or tank with shorts

Shoes: Ballet shoes-no laces (studio brand) and solid black jazz shoes-no laces

Hair: Pulled back preferably in tight bun, bangs away from face

 

b. Ballet/Pointe
Clothing: Solid black leotard, tights (studio brand), solid black tight fitting shorts or solid black ballet skirt if desired

Boys-solid black tshirt or tank with shorts, black ballet shoes
Shoes:

-Ballet I- Ballet shoes-no laces (studio brand)

-Ballet I/II & higher- 'So Danca' or 'Capezio' Canvas Ballet Shoes purchased at Toe The Line
Hair: Pulled back in tight ballet bun, bangs away from face

 

c. Disney Dancing I; Disney Dancing II
Clothing: Solid black leotard, tights (studio brand), skirt if desired-any color
Shoes: Ballet shoes-no laces (studio brand)
Hair: Pulled back preferably in tight bun, bangs away from face

Boys-solid black tshirt or tank with solid black shorts/joggers, black ballet shoes

d. Jazz Lyrical; Leaps/Turns/Technique; Jazz; Musical Theater; Contemporary; Pom Technique
Clothing: Solid black leotard, tights (studio brand) with tight fitting solid black shorts or solid black leggings

Boys-solid black tshirt or tank with solid black shorts/joggers
Shoes: Tan Jazz shoes-no laces (studio brand) 
Hair: Pulled back preferably in tight bun, bangs away from face

e. Modern/Contemporary; Dance & All That Jazz Company Rehearsals

Clothing: Leotard, tight fitting shorts or leggings

Boys-tshirt or tank with shorts/joggers
Shoes: barefoot; Company: studio tan jazz shoes/turners
Hair: Pulled back, bangs away from face

f & h. Zumba; Tiny Tots; Adult Dance Classes
Clothing: Comfortable clothing
Shoes: 

-Zumba, Hip Hop- Clean gym shoes

-Tiny Tots- Barefoot or socks

-Ballet/jazz/contemporary- Dance shoes are optional; dancers usually are barefoot or wear socks

-Tap- Tap shoes

Hair: No requirement

g. Breakdancing
Clothing: Loose clothing, but no jeans/belts
Shoes: Clean gym shoes worn only inside; must change shoes inside the studio.

*Must have a spin cap-purchased from The Breaking Program at the studio

*Strongly recommend knee and elbow pads

Hair: No requirement

i. Hip Hop II & III
Clothing: Loose clothing, but no jeans
Shoes: Clean gym shoes worn only inside; must change shoes inside the studio.
Hair: No requirement
